It's almost halloween!

I love this time of year! I am trying to enjoy all of my favorite things even though we are crazy busy with packing and such. I am thinking about making some pumpkin bread tonight just have to get the energy! I still have about 19 orders to complete before Christmas. I set a goal of the first week of December so I don't have to stress about it when I want to be baking, shopping and decorating but with Bailey doing more and more it is getting harder to find the time to sew! After this batch of orders I think I will only take a few at a time. I am easily stressed out so I need to try and not overload myself!

Tomorrow is Halloween and also our walk through at the new house!! We are set to close Thursday. I am so excited!! We are close to 50% packed I would say which isn't bad considering we only started packing yesterday. We have a whold month to move iinto the hew place but we want to get it done so we can settle! I am so looking forward to having carpet so I don't have to worry about Bailey being on the floor! She isn't crawling yet but I always hate her being on the floor in this house. She will be 7 months in a week! Where does the time go!? I am greatful that I have been able to enjoy every moment of her life so far. She is definitely a Momma's girl but she finds Daddy facsinating. She watches him wherever he goes and gives him some of her best smiles :) I find her facsinating. I love to watch her play and study things as she figures them out. Here is an update on everything Bailey....

At her 6 month check she was 14 lbs, 10 oz. and 26 inches long. She is healthy and growing on track but is a skinny thing. She is wearing 6 month clothes and some 6-9 but they are a little big still. All of her pants fit length wise but are big at the waist. She still doesn't like to be held by mosst people but is doing better as long as the person spends a little time with us first. We started solids and were doing good with them but she only liked squash and sweet potatoes. We were trying other things also but she would only take a few bites and then make a face and close her mouth. We realized the squash and sweet potatoes were constipating her so the pediatrician said to stop all food for a week or so and then try again and eat less of the orange but now she won't eat any at all. She loves to eat off our plates though so I think she is going to skip the baby food step. I have been just giving her bites of most things I eat but I think tomorrow I am going to start making her a little plate of her own and see how that goes! I really want to get her eating foods so maybe she will be more full and will sleep more at night. Up until 4 months she was a GREAT night sleeper but as soon as she hit 4 months she started waking up every few hours and I thought she might have been going through a growth spurt and was needing to eat more but it has gotten worse, better and then worse again since. We have talked to the ped a couple of times about it and the advice was to re-train her how to put herself to sleep but she always puts herself to sleep so that isn't our issue. I have tried EVERYTHING I have read about or have been advised from the pediatrician or friends except letting her "cry it out". I do let her cry for 15, sometimes 20 or more minutes (longer if shes just fussing) at a time but when she gets to the screaming phase or her crying I go and give her the paci and then eventually end up nursing her and she will go right back to sleep. She eats a full amount every time she eats at night so she is not snacking. I just don't know what else to try. This is my biggest concern at the moment. I don't mind the night feeds but I know she needs to be sleeping longer stretches at a time and I really need the sleep as well! We got a white noise thing today so we will see if that helps at all. I really don't kno what wakes her up. She is like an alarm though, she is up every 3 hours and then once we get to the early morning (5-ish usually) she will get restless and be up every 30 mins to an hour then go back to sleep good for another couple hours and get up for the day about 8.

Ok I got completely carried away with the sleep talk! Moving on... She is sitting up good now though I still put the boppy behind her if I'm not sitting with her just in case. She grabs everything she can reach and puts it straight in her mouth. She loves to stand but can't balance herself yet. Jumping is also a fave of hers! She will jump in her jump-e-roo for long periods of time or just jump on our laps. She smiles ALL the time! She has the best smile <3 She loves being startled. If  you say "hey" or "boo" or just make a grunt sound real quick she'll bust out laughing. She is also ticklish. She likes hanging upside down, we only let her hang for a few seconds but she wants to do it again and again. The days of her laying back in her bouncer or stroller are over. She wants to be sitting up and looking all around. She doesn't even like laying back in her car seat but of course she has to. Bath time is one of the coolest things lol she kicks and splashes. She is a great sport at almost everything I want to do with her. I can still cut her nails, put sunglasses on her, shoes, hats, etc.. you name it she is fine with is... so far. She even let me put her in a pumpkin for halloween pictures! She already wore her halloween costume and trick-or-treated at Seaworld last week when she and I went home to visit. She loved the dance party! Anything that involves bouncing is great! She was amazing the whole week. We had a super busy week but she was all smiles! She did great on the plane rides also but this was her second time so she's a pro now haha. I'm hoping she remains good at flying b/c it's so easy to fly home and I'd like she and I to go at least two times a year in addition to the two times Patrick and I already go so she really knows our families and gets used to being around them!

Well I guess that is enough for now. Sorry for the LONG post I just couldn't stop typing! :)

Happy Halloween!!!
