My baby is growing!

Bailey is 9 months and 3 weeks and just today had her 9 month "well check" although she is sick. She is 17 lbs, 1 oz and 27 3/4 inches long. According to the charts at the Naval hospital she is in the 25th percentile for weight but she said their charts are off from other pediatricians so I don't really know how she has changed from before. bummer. I hate switching pediatricians at this age. I did like the woman though so it wasn't as bad as I had it in my head which is good but I still don't like it hah. Poor baby girl has her first bad cold. She has a bad cough and is breathing really heavy. She is so out of it and has been sleeping a lot. I feel so bad for her!! She also has a fever. They said all I can do for her is give her tylenol and let it run it's course. Her lungs sound good, ears are good and throat so that's good!

We are one week closer to Patrick coming home! 4 more weeks to go..  I miss him! I am very happy to have some new friends though! My across the street neighbor's husband is in the same unit with Patrick so it's been awesome to have her to hang out with! I am meeting other great neighbors too and so excited about it! I've also had friends from Wilmington and VA visiting all week which has been great!

I am actually starting to feel settled for the first time in a long time and it's amazing! So amazing that I actually don't want to go to FL as planned so I shortened our upcoming trip to one week instead of three. I love going home but I am enjoying making my new home feel like home and making new friends is the best feeling! I have missed having friends (that live near me)!

Day one of Mojave Viper

Bailey and I dropped Patrick off last night and kissed him goodbye for 5 weeks. He has arrived in California today to begin training in preparation for his upcoming deployment. Patrick and I have been through this before but this is the first goodbye with Bailey in our lives so it made it much harder! I miss him already and just want him home with us! It's all part of the bittersweet military life. In many ways the Marine Corps has been a great lifestyle for us but being apart which is a huge part of a military family's life just plain sucks!

I have been sick since we got home from our trip to FL (about a week now) and now I am broken out in hives which just adds to the misery. I think my hives are stress induced so I have a feeling I will have hives a lot over the next year. Such a bummer. I don't know why my body decided this would be cool. The medicine I was given the first time this happened (while we were in FL) worked great and they disappeared but this time the same medicine isn't working. My poor body has been through a lot over the past year! Just ready to feel normal again!

On a happier note, Bailey is growing so fast, sometimes I feel like I can see her getting taller! She is outgrowing clothes like it's cool. She has been eating bites off our plates for a while now but while we were in Fl she started eating whole plates of her own! She LOVES baked potatoes! She can eat a whole potato by herself! Such a big girl now. She also loves Mac 'n' cheese, and bread. She eats a lot more but those are her faves. She started pulling up to her feet last night! She is walking holding our hands and can stand for a few seconds alone. It won't be long before she's off on her own!
