Ready for the New Year!

So I have not done as well as I wanted to do with blogging and I'm not sure that anyone even reads it since I don't have any followers but it was more for me to keep up with my pregnancy than anything else but I am going to try to get better! I love the idea of blogs and I love reading my friends and keeping up with their lives but I guess I just don't always know what to write! I'm sure it will be much easier once Bailey is here and there are all kinds of new things to share! I was thinking today about next Christmas and our next visit home to FL and how many things I want to do with her and all of the firsts she'll have and I got so excited! I cannot wait! It seems like everyday someone else I know pops up pregnant! I just saw two more friends on FB today posting that they are pregnant! That makes around 15 now I think! Wow!

Today was the first warm Florida feeling day we've had since we got home and I loved it! Mom and I went shopping to find an outfit for me to wear for the baby shower on Sunday. I was looking for a dress but found a pink short sleeve sweater that I fell in love with so that is what I'm wearing! I am excited for the shower!! I can't believe tomorrow is New Years Eve! We didn't make any big plans this year like we usually try to do but low key this year will be nice. 

I didn't mention yet that I got a little laptop after Christmas!! I love it! I didn't know if I would like the small one or not but it is actually very nice and I love that it is so small I can carry it anywhere! The small keyboard has been a little hard to get used to so I still watch the keys more than usual but I think I will adjust and love it!

Well time to go eat something and get ready to go watch a Magic game!

We are in Florida for Christmas and New Years. We had a nice Christmas and I'm enjoying being home and hanging out with family! It is super cold here which is weird! I am 26 weeks now and Bailey has been very active!

How far along? 26 weeks and 2 days
How big is baby? about a pound in a half to two pounds
Weight gain? around 14-15 lbs last I checked. I haven't gotten on a scale since we got to FL.
Maternity clothes? I got a few new tops for Christmas! I am going to be buying a couple new things this week to prepare for New Years and our first Baby Shower next weekend!
Stretch marks? still none!
Sleep? I've been sleeping pretty good here because I have the bed to myself! Patrick and I weren't going to both fit comfortably because the bed is smaller so he opted to sleep on an air mattress beside my bed so we're both sleeping good!
Best moment this week? just being home and sharing time with our families!
Movement? Oh yes, she is very busy! My Mom got her a hippo that plays music and I set it on my stomach last night and she was moving like crazy!
Food cravings? This week so far it has been left over ham on potato rolls with baked beans!
Gender? Girl!

What I miss? Lately I've been missing wine.. I would love a glass!

Baby Girl has a name!!

We finally decided on a name this week!! Her name is Bailey! We haven't decided yet on her middle name but it's so exciting to have a first name!! Her bedding came in this week also but my Mom had it delivered to her house since we'll be home next week so I haven't seen it yet but can't wait! We will be FL bound in 5 days!!

How big is baby? about a pound in a half
Weight gain? around 14-15 lbs
Maternity clothes? still nothing new. I had planned to buy a coat this week but they were completely out! I was so bummed so I am still searching for a coat that is not super expensive!

Sleep? Ehh.. I get the best sleep with no stomach ache in the early mornings after Patrick leaves for work
Best moment this week? deciding on her name! Bailey <3
Movement? She is soo active now all the time!
Food cravings? This week Taco Bell!

What I miss? Same things I've been missing... my body, wearing my clothes, not having a stomach ache everynight!

6 months down....

I am so over being pregnant today! I just feel huge and blah! Ready to lose the belly and meet my baby girl but she is not done in there yet.. 16 more weeks to go. I had a pretty productive week getting some purses finished and mailed out! Patrick and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary on Wedneaday, he worked kind of late but we still had a nice evening once he got home! I had my first OB appt at my new Doc's office this week, the baby is good and so am I!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We froze our tushies off today but we got all of our lights up outside! Our house looks like a little gingerbread house! So cute! I just finished Christmas cards too! I'm feeling accomplished! I have a busy week ahead but by the end of the week I should have all of my purses done and shipped out! As long as the week goes as planned that is! This past week wasn't as produstive as I had hoped when it comes to sewing but I got some other things done! I went to see Burlesque with a friend and loved it!

The baby's dresser came in this week so we spend one whole evening putting that together but it's super cute! I can't wait til I can start decorating her room!

Maternity clothes? Oooo I found a pair of skinny jeans! They aren't exactly what I was looking for but they will do! I also found a pair of gray pants!

Very Thankful...

For all of the wonderful people in my life, especially my husband and my family that love me so much! We had a great week with my in-laws, it was nice having them here for Thanksgiving! They left this morning. Patrick and I got a little shopping done today and then I put up Christmas decorations! It's starting to feel like Christmas around here! We are going to get our tree tomorrow or next weekend and we still need to put up the lights on the house but we have to borrow a ladder from someone to do that! Yesterday we drove up to the base to show Patrick's parents around and of course got a few baby things at the PX with the sales! It was a yucky rainy day so we didn't try to do anymore shopping just came back home and ate left over turkey and relaxed. I need to get better about taking weekly pregnancy pictures now that I am growing so much! Here is one from today!

22 weeks



How far along?  22 weeks today

How big is baby? 7 1/2-8 inches and about 1 lb
Weight gain? yes, I believe about 13-14 lbs total at this point
Maternity clothes? I have quite a few new things thanks to my Mom and Grandma! They sent 2 pairs of capri's, one pair of black dress pants, 2 shirts, and one sweater with my Mother in law! I also bought myself two 3/4 sleeve shirts and two long sleeve light weight shirts!
Stretch marks? none!
Sleep?:  I sleep well but have a hard time getting comfortable most nights and usually wake up with a stomach ache :/
Best moment this week? All of the new baby clothes! Her closet is really growing now, it's so exciting!
Movement? Yes! All week I have felt her so much! She is low but moving around a lot!
Food cravings? nothing particular right now
Gender? Girl!
Labor signs? nope

What I miss? my flat stomach! I was looking at pics of some friends on FB today looking so cute in their leggings and boots and flat tummies and I got jealous! I will get it back though!
What I am looking forward to? getting the nursery decorated and having the rest of her furniture arrive!

Milestones? Everyday movement. I have been waiting for that!

 

 

Thanksgiving eve!

My sweet baby girl is getting spoiled this week! My in laws are in town and brought lots of clothes for her and we just ordered her dresser this evening! My Mom sent a big bag of baby and maternity clothes with my Mother-in-law so it was like a baby shower when they got here yesterday! So much fun!! Today we sent the boys off to fish and we went baby shopping and came home with more clothes! I am hoping the dresser we ordered matches her crib ok I'm not to sure if the whites are the same but we will see when it gets here!

This evening after dinner I made butterscotch/Oatmeal cookies and cherry jello for tomorrow! I have been craving butterscotch/Oatmeal cookies so I started eating them right out of the oven! I am so excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow! Patrick and I have been by ourselves the past two years so it will be nice to have family with us this year! We realized today that when they hooked up our Directv last week that we ended up with no local channels which meant no parade tomorrow :( I was crushed! I called and talked to so many different people trying to fix it TODAY and they said it would be Fri before they could get anyone out here. When Patrick got home I had him call and they were able to walk him through how to reset it or something so YAY we get to watch the parade!! It would not be Thanksgiving without the parade!

For the past few days I have been feeling the baby move a lot! It is such a neat feeling and I love that I know she is in there! It is so much more real now that I can feel her! I have gained some weight also which is good. The OB office here called today and informed me that they went over my records and approved me as a new patient ( I didn't know why they wouldn't! ) and got my appointment set up! I hate switching Doc's at this point but I didn't have a choice. My first appointment is on our 3 year anniversary :)

We're watching Orlando beat the Heat then off to bed to get up and cook turkey!! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Feeling a little lost....

Every time we move I go through a little lost feeling for a few days or weeks and it hit me hard last night as I was sitting watching TV I just started crying and couldn't stop. I ended up calling my Mom to chat and eventually felt better. Even though all of my things are here and we have unpacked most things and have gotten the house put together for the most part, it just doesn't feel like "home" yet so I have this overwhelming feeling of wanting to go home but this is my home now. This feeling will go away soon I'm sure but I absolutely hate it right now.

Today was a good day, we slept in which was nice since I haven't done that in a couple weeks! We got the rest of the boxes that were sitting around in the living room put away and watched football! Patrick decided to grill out this evening which was nice so I didn't have to cook. We had burgers, yum! I made brownies today also which I have been craving so I was a pretty happy camper! Now that the day is over and I am just sitting on the couch the lost feeling is coming over me again and I'm trying to think of ways to avoid it. There are a lot of things I could start doing but being pregnant I tend to lose my energy around this time of day and my body just wants to do nothing.

I spent some time earlier on the computer looking at crib bedding and I think we have decided on a set! I had a few I liked but Patrick really likes this one so I think this is the one! Here is a picture! It's fun looking!



I can't decide from looking at the picture what color to paint the walls? I love the little wall appliques so I am thinking of painting just the bottom of the walls but I don't want to do the green so maybe I will try to match the lightest pink. The walls need some color so the little animals don't look like they're just floating! We will see!

I think I will wash dishes now and maybe bake some pumpkin bread if I have everything I need, that should be fun!



Getting settled!

Our furniture and things were delivered on Thursday and we have been busy busy unpacking and settling in since then! So far the kitchen is the only room done but the living room is close and the bedroom is the project for today! My goal is to be done before next weekend so we can decorate for Christmas! I am in such a holiday mood.. can't wait to start baking!!

In the middle of unpacking on Thursday we stopped and put the crib and stroller together! So exciting! She has a few little outfits hanging in her closet and I can't wait to add to it!

How far along?  21 weeks today

How big is baby? well according to the similac website she is about 7 inches long (the size of a carrot it says haha) and around 11 ounces
Weight gain? I weighed myself as soon as I unpacked my scale and I think I lost a pound or two again :-/
Maternity clothes? no new clothes yet I have been so busy with the move haven't had time to shop but I definitely need to get a few winter things it's chilly!
Stretch marks? not a one!
Sleep?:  I have been waking up once or twice a night
Best moment this week? putting her crib and stroller together!
Movement? I haven't noticed anymore movement since the first day I felt it last Monday but hopefully I will start feeling it more soon!
Food cravings? none right now just excited to have my kitchen back to cook! I have been really wanting some brownies so thats on the to do list for today!

What I miss? My clear skin. My face is so broken out right now but I don't know if it's from the stress or the pregnancy

One step closer!

We got the keys to our new house today!! I was suupper disappointed when we got there though... it wasn't clean!! There are big stains on the carpet in the bedrooms and the walls throughout the house are dirty! Even though we didn't get to see the house in person before we rented it I thought going through an agency they would have higher standards and do things like paint between tenants and have the carpets replaced if necessary! I called to complain about it but it doesn't sound like they are going to do much about it so we will be painting for sure and cleaning the carpets or putting down rugs!! The house is only 3 years old and for the most part is great so once we do a little cleaning and painting I'm sure we'll love it! Hershey loves her back yard so that made me happy!

Patrick had to drive back to VA tonight :( Poor guy! He has to stay there until Wednesday to finish checking out.

Ok .... baby time!

How far along?  20 weeks and 2 days- half way there!!
How big is baby? about 6 inches and around 10 ounces
Weight gain? Well my scale is on the moving truck and has been for a week now so I haven't been weighed since my last Dr. visit but I'm sure I have gained another pound or so!
Maternity clothes? still wearing the petite pair of jeans I found almost every day! As soon as we settle in the house (probably by the end of the week) I will be shopping for more clothes!!
Stretch marks? still none!
Sleep?:  I have been sleeping great the past couple nights, not even waking up to pee!
Best moment this week? Feeling her move for the first time this morning!!
Movement? Yes! This morning as soon as I woke up I felt her move and Patrick was able to feel her on the outside as well! I was so happy he was with me for the first time I felt movement!
Food cravings? nothing specific this week but I am still wanting mexican!

What I miss? My couch and pots and pans! I can not wait to get our furniture back and so I can be comfortable in my own home again and cook a meal!! Come on Thursday!!

Moving day... for our things anyway

So yesterday the movers came and packed up our house. It was definitely weird to have someone else packing our things but it was also nice to not have to do it! It took 4 guys 4 1/2 hours to get the whole house packed and it was a great experience. Then today a different company was supposed to come to load up. They were supposed to be here at 10am and didn't get here until 3pm! It was such a frustrating day, they got here and started fighting with each other about how to do things and they fought the whole day. They were throwing stuff around and sliding things down the stairs, I was freaking out! At the end of the day they didn't say bye they just left. They left the front door wide open, they left trash on the porch and their tool box in the house! Horrible experience!  I was so mad all day I forgot to eat after lunch so by time they left at 6:30 I was STARVING!! We went and ate mexican with a couple friends, it was super yummy! I ate so much though I have pretty uncomfortable the rest of the night. Ok that is enough venting! Once we got home we set up camp in our empty bedroom! We are camping out on the floor on air mattresses. We did keep out the small tv so we have cable! I had my last doctor visit today with Dr. Shuman today and said my goodbyes. She was happy to see that I have gained weight in the past few weeks and finally look pregnant! My belly popped out so fast I feel quite uncomfortable a lot of the time now. Here is my update!

Weight gain? Yes. haha I have gained 7 lbs in 4 weeks.
Maternity clothes? since Saturday I found a petite pair of maternity jeans!! I am soo excited and have worn them almost everyday. I'm going to need to get another pair!
Stretch marks? nope!
Sleep?:  I wake up a lot to pee and it usually takes a while to find a comfortable position but I'm still sleeping pretty good.
Best moment this week? getting a good report at the Dr. today
Movement? still no movement yet.
Food cravings? Mexican food! Nachos with beef, beans and cheese! I've already had it twice this week.

My first blog...

Hello blogging world! I decided this would be a fun way to keep everyone updated on our lives as we move around and bring our sweet baby girl into the world! I am 19 weeks pregnant today and we confirmed on Thursday thats it's a Girl!! I could not be more happy! We are moving to Wilmington, NC in two weeks and have been so busy getting ready for the move. I can not wait for it to be over with so we can settle in and set up the nursery!! The movers come on Monday to pack us up which is so weird to me to not be packing my own things but since I'm pregnant for this move and the Marine Corps offers this option we're going with it! We have two days left with our things in the house and we hae to finish getting everything organized for them to pack. Trying to decide what things we will need for the next two in a half weeks is hard! It's like packing for a long vacation but trying to keep some kitchen and bathroom items out too so we can still cook and take showers! Thats it for the move today now on to the pregnancy... I stole this from a friend because I love the idea to keep everyone involved through my pregnancy!

How big is baby? 9 ounces as of Thursday. She is still a tiny little thing!
Weight gain? I have done good the past couple weeks! I am weighing about 5 lbs more on my scale than I was before vacation! I was not gaining weight in the beginning because I was so sick so I have been trying hard to gain!
Maternity clothes? not having the best of luck finding jeans that are short enough! I was told that Old Navy makes them in a short so I might have to order from them but I hate not being able to try them on!
Stretch marks? nope!
Sleep?:  once I fall asleep I sleep sound but my stomach doesn't like mornings or bed time so finding a comfortable position to make my stomach happy isn't always easy!
Best moment this week? finding out she is definitely a GIRL!!
Movement? not feeling any movement yet but should start any day!
Food cravings? fruit! Apples, bananas, strawberries (luckily I can still find good ones at the commissary!) and pineapples.
