Bailey update!

I started this blog to keep up with my pregnancy and Bailey's milestones then it turned into a deployment blog {which didn't last long-hah} and I feel wayy behind on the milestones update! I was reading a friends blog tonight and she started using this little guide line to keep up so I'm going to borrow it! 

Bailey Allison at 18 months ~

Clothes: She is moving into 24 months at the moment. Still in some 18 months. I am having fun shopping for fall and winter clothes!!

Sleeping: Ehh.. as always, she isn't the best sleeper. She takes one nap most days {some days 2} that only last an hour. I am shocked on days they last longer! Nap time is just after lunch around 11:30-12. Bed time is between 8-8:30 and she usually wakes up once at some point and sometimes I have to go in and give her a paci other times she puts herself back to sleep. We still have nights once a week or once every other week where she wakes up multiple times a night and does not want to go back to sleep! I have called the pediatrician and they said some kids just don't need as much sleep as others. That seems crazy to me!

Eating: Since day one of table foods she has turned very little down and has always been a great eater but lately she is getting a little pickier. She LOVES cheese and "nacks" (fruit snacks) and asks for both several times a day! She loves mac 'n' cheese and pasta with alfredo sauce, grapes and blueberries. Everything else is a give or take these days depending on her mood! She drinks water all day and one juice a day (not everyday) and has become more of a fan of milk lately and asks for it a lot! No complaints here :)

Talking: she talks ALL.DAY.LONG! I love listening to her but she can get very loud when she's not getting the attention she wants! She is saying a lot of words now and can copy anything we say. We have to really be careful now! Her favorite words are "hey" and "hi" haha and she says them to everyone she sees and waves! She is super friendly! She can ask for most everything she wants by name.

New words lately: every day there are new words! I need to do better with this next time I fill this out!

Teeth: She just cut her k9's and some molars. Pretty sure that is part of what interrupts her sleep!

Likes:
~Books! This baby girl still loves her books! She's starting to "read'' them out loud. So cute! 

~Her paci. I'm trying to take it away some but she is attached 

~Outside! She LOVES to be outside and NEVER wants to come in! 

~Playing with friends especially Aaden! 

~Bubble guppies and the pillow pets commercial. She starts dancing around and laughing!

~Blankies. Not one specific one just likes to snuggle up in general 

~She loves to be chased and I guess you could say wrestle on the floor! She laughs SO hard!

~SHOES! She loves shoes! Everyones shoes! She always puts on a matching pair and usually get them on the right foot. Amazing little thing she is :)

Dislikes:
~Being told no by Daddy. When I tell her no she doesn't like it and definitely tries to do whatever I told her not to do again but when Daddy says no she cries. He's not mean, I really don't know why she cries but she does not like it. 

~getting in her carseat. HUGE fight 7 out of 10 times. Oh how I hate this fight! 

~things to be out of place. I know she's only 18 months but she knows where everything should be and does not like it when I move things. She flips out! Marches her little feet really fast and points and makes this little whining sound until I fix it. It's not just at our house either, she is like that at our friends houses that we are in often. She's already OCD

~Messes. Kind of goes with the above ^ but she hates a mess! She cleans everything all the time. She picks up trash or anything she thinks is trash and puts it in the trashcan and takes the recycles to the garage and says "cycle" until one of us opens the door for her. She also cleans everyone elses house and outside. Oh and don't get her started on food falling on the floor at a restaurant hahaha! I don't let her pick it up of course but she does noooooot like a mess! I hope this sticks with her! 

Health:  Great health! Her 18 month check is in a couple weeks but on my scale she is at 27 lbs.

Milestones: She just started telling me when she pees.... sometimes!

Who knew!?

Not sure where I have been, I feel like I am always way behind the times but I just realized people make money from blogging! What! Not sure what I thought the main purpose was but this is fun new info. The whole blogging world honestly confuses me. I have wanted to get into it for a while now and have tried with this blog but just seem to forget about it or never know what to write about so once again I'm going to give this a shot and try to just start blogging about everything! We'll see how this goes! I have learned that you should always include a picture to each and every blog which I probably will not be doing tonight but will start from now on. I never think to blog about recipes, hair, make up, sewing, crafts, DIY's, etc.. however those are some of my favorite things to read about so it would only make sense that if I'm going to blog those would be the things I blog about right? Yea, I think so. Let's see how this goes!

Deployment days 45, 46 & 47

Day 45 Bailey and I spent most of the day at home. We did run a couple errands before dinner at Candace's. Brynn got here in the evening right as Bailey was going to bed. Candace came over and she, Brynn and I hung out for a while and had some wine :) Fun day!

Day 46 Kayla and Candace came over with all the kiddos and Brynn did all of our hair! It took most of the day but we had fun! After we were all pretty, Candace, Brynn and I went to Pancho Villa for dinner! Of course Bailey and Declan came too ;-) Another fun day!

Today (day 47) We had a lazy day! It rained most of the day so Bailey and I just played at the house. We ran out to CVS and Food Lion before dinner then came home and cooked. We went for a little walk later, just Bailey, Hershey and I. Bailey rode in her little buggy. She went to bed before 8 so I need to get myself to bed early tonight too or I will be sorry in the morning!! I have been trying SO hard to eat better and lose weight but I am having some serious chocolate cravings!! Not just chocolate but yummy chocolate baked goods that I have not made yet but I'm getting really tempted! Ugh this is hard!!

Deployment days 43 & 44

Yesterday I had a Dr. appt in the morning. Bailey stayed at Kayla while I went. I stopped and tanned on the way home! Woo hoo! lol it's the little things! When I got back Bailey was ready for a nap and slept for about two hours! I sat outside with my book and a glass of wine and completely relaxed! Bailey and I ran a couple errands in the afternoon then had dinner at Kayla's and walked with all the girls and played outside.

Today (day 44) we ran a couple errands in the morning then went to the beach after lunch! Bailey loves the ocean! She just kept running to it which was a little annoying for me hah but I love that she was so excited! Kayla, her boys and cousin went with us. Bailey and I came home, bathed quickly and went over to Ashlee's for dinner! We had a good time :) It was a fun day!

Deployment days 41 & 42

Yesterday (day 41) , I woke up to a phone call from the plumbers saying they'd be there within the hour so I jumped up to clean my bathroom! Hah! I decided while I was cleaning to keep going so I cleaned the house most of the day and cleaned out my car! I made tuna casserole for dinner then after we ate we went for a walk with Kayla and Candace. We ended up taking two hours to walk... we had some issues lol so by time we got home it was bed time for the kiddos plus it was super chilly so we all went right in.

Today (42) we got up and got ready and went to Wilmington with Kayla to direct her to the airport to pick up her cousin. We went to Moe's for lunch since we don't have one here we had to take advantage then came back to Jville. Bailey went to Walmart for a few things then met up with a guy to pick up a little push buggy I bought for Bailey! I found it on lys for $20! I was pretty excited about it!! It was a little dirty and a little faded from the sun but for the money I was okay with that! After we had dinner we went out to try out the buggy and walk with Kayla. WE played outside for a while then came in and Bailey went to bed. I'm next! Good night!

Deployment day 40

Today was a rough day for reasons I cannot share, my hubby had a rough day and I felt his frustration/upset and had some of my own. Even with everything I stuck to the plan for my day and dropped Bailey off at Jess' house so I could go shopping for clothes for me but for one I hate to shop for clothes and two I wasn't in the best mood so I ended up only buying a bra. I have still been wearing nursing bras even though I stopped breastfeeding a couple months ago so I was definitely in need! I'll have to try to shop for clothes again later or maybe wait until next month when we go to FL! After I picked up Bailey we came home and ate some dinner. We went for a walk a little later and played outside until bedtime, you know, the nightly routine around here! Hah! It's a good routine though :) Bailey has been in her crib about an hour but she has cried off and on and I can still hear her moving around. This is very unusual for her, usually as soon as I lay her down she goes right to sleep. I am having a glass of wine. This would be a two glass night but I only have one glass left so it will have to do! Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

Deployment day 39

Another day down. Today was a good one! Bailey and I took a spur of the moment trip to the beach! We were headed out to run a couple errands and I just got in the mood for the beach so we went! Bailey loved the water and had fun playing in the sand! She wasn't too sure about the sand on her hands at first or how to walk in the sand but once she figured it out she was great! This wasn't her first time but in the past she didn't like the water and couldn't stand or walk in the sand so today was a much better experience! Last night before I went to bed I put together the picnic table we bought yesterday and this morning Bailey had fun eating a snack at it! She's still a little small sitting at it but I'm sure she'll grow into it in no time! After we got home from the beach we ate dinner then went for a walk with Kayla and her boys. We stayed outside for a while and played. Bailey decided to walk down to the neighbor's house two doors down to play with them. Of course I followed her. Their little girl isn't much older than Bailey. We all played there for a little while then came in for a bath and bedtime. I'm getting ready to bake cake in a jar to send Patrick then read the next book in the series I'm reading!

Deployment day 38

This morning Kayla and the boys came over first thing to help me switch the TV's. After leaving the big one unplugged all night I tried it again this morning and had the same problems as last night and so I brought Patrick's game TV in the living room and put the broken one in the garage. It may be able to be fixed but I'm leaving that to Patrick to deal with when he gets home. There are a lot of things I will take on but fixing a TV doesn't sound like something I have any interest in! Bailey and I got ready and went out to run some errands. First stop was Toy's R Us to buy Bailey's picnic table that her Vovo sent us money for then we went to Lowe's, GNC and headed home. Bailey took a long nap this morning then was already tired when we got home so she laid in her crib for a while and I read. She never did fall asleep just relaxed for close to an hour. Sometimes she just likes some Bailey time in her crib. I talked to Patrick off and on for quite a while today on FB chat. I don't really remember what we did what Bailey got up but we were just around the house. She took an actual nap later in the afternoon and I continued reading. I finished my book and can't wait to go buy the next one tomorrow! Once she got up we went over to Kayla's and grilled chicken! We put Blake's crib together then the kids played in the crib for a while. They had so much fun, it was cute! Came home and Bailey went right to sleep. I am pretty bored now with no book. Maybe this is why I don't usually read, I get too caught up and then feel lost when the book is over. Luckily there are two more in this series but I don't know what I will do when I'm done with all of them! Oh my!

Deployment day 37

We ran errands to get some stuff for Patrick's next box then came home and made lasagna for dinner! We went to tan with Kayla after dinner. The kids were pretty cute playing in the car while we took turns going in to tan! We stopped at Sally's on the way home to get some stuff I needed to do nails then went for a walk. It was a super windy night but I like walking when it's windy! I don't know why but it motivates me more! After Bailey went to bed I went to turn the tv on and it wouldn't come on. It would just blink and make a noise. Grr! I unplugged it overnight and read my book and did some cleaning.

Deployment days 35 & 36

Day 35 (yesterday) we stayed home all day. We had some heavy wind and rain from tropical storm Beryl. Bailey had fun watching the storm out the back door. I read most of the day while Bailey played. Jess came over in the evening and we made lemon brownies, watched two movies and drank some wine :)

I feel like I only state facts in my blogs these days, sorry for that. This has become more about remembering my days than actually blogging. Pretty sure no one reads this anyway so not sure who I'm apologizing to! Haha!

~Day 36 (today) was busy! Aaden came over first thing this morning to stay with me while Kayla went to pick up a crib. Jess and Eli got here shortly after and we went to the airport to drop off Jess' rental car. When we got back home, Aaden went home and Bailey and Eli took naps. Later on Jess, the kids and I went back to the airport, Jess left her garage door opener in the car so we had to get it! We went to Wal-mart after to grocery shop then we dropped Jess and Eli off at their house. Bailey and I ate dinner ate dinner then walked with Kayla and the boys. It was a beautiful night! Hershey has been getting brave lately and just running out the door every time it's open and always getting on the bed, barking, and begging for food. I don't know what her deal is lately but I am not liking it!! Yesterday and today she ran outside and I had to drag her back in once I caught her. I do not chase her, I make her come to me but still. Not. Happy. About. It. Grr! After Bailey went to bed, I read for a while , drank some wine, watched Rookie Blue and now getting ready to read some more before bed!

Deployment day 34

Didn't do much today. Some laundry and stuff around the house this morning then went to meet Jess to go to the PX and walmart. Bailey, Hershey and I walked this evening then played until bed time. My allergies were horrible all day today since I mowed yesterday so I didn't have a lot of energy for much more! I'm considering cleaning the house but haven't gotten to it yet! haha It'll probably be tomorrow before I do! We're supposed to be getting some bad weather from a tropical storm tomorrow so I might not be going anywhere which means I should clean all day! We'll see!

Deployment days 32 & 33

On Sunday (day 32) I was in a funk for no real reason. We stayed home most of the day just went out for a walk in the evening.

~Yesterday (day 33) was Memorial day! I gave Hershey a bath in the morning then mowed the grass and borrowed Kayla's weed wacker. I found a little washer/dryer for Bailey on Lejeune Yard Sales for $10. so we went and picked it up then came home and blew up Bailey's kiddie pool. Kayla and the boys came over later and we played outside in the pool all afternoon!

Deployment days 30 & 31

Yesterday (day 30) we went to the aquarium with Ashlee, Kayla and all the kids. It was a lot of fun! It was pretty far away but we had a good time. When we got home it was late afternoon and we needed to get the kids out of the car for a while! Patrick called and we got to talk on the phone with a good connection for 40 minutes! That's the most we've talked since he left!! It was nice to just talk about things and not get cut off a million times! Kayla, Candace and I piled all the kids in one car and went to tan and grab dinner. That was a lot lol we won't be doing that anymore! We will be taking turns staying home with the kids to go tanning from now on! By the time we got home it was bedtime. We've had a lot of late nights lately (like 9) and always get in just in time for Bailey bug to get a bath and get in bed. I kind of like being busy at the end of the day but part of me feels bad too that we don't get to just spend that time home but she is a social butterfly like her mama so she likes to be out and about with friends or have people here! She loves to play with friends! She will probably enjoy a sibling one day!

~This morning Bailey and I went over to Candace's so I could feed Declan while Candace got some cleaning done then we came home and I cleaned in the garage while Bailey napped. I got rid of a lot of stuff and was able to pull the car in! I did some cleaning inside too then ran a few errands. We went in Kirklands and bought a big mirror for only $14.00!! They were having big sales and doing military discounts all weekend for Memorial Day! How exciting!! :) It was originally 40 or 50 something then marked down and discounted! We got back and I made a fruit pizza to take over to Candace's for dessert. Her in laws came in today and they had a cookout. We were over there until after 8:30 then came home and got Bailey a bath and in bed. She hasn't made a peep. She played hard all evening! I got to chat with Patrick a little today also :) Now I'm watching some SOA and getting ready to go to sleep!

Deployment day 29

Jess and Eli left early this morning then Bailey and I got ready and ran some errands. We went to bed, bath and beyond, Sally's and Wal-Mart. Later we had pizza at Kayla's then went tanning with Candace! Those are the highlights of the day, there was lots of playing in between! :) I gave myself a pedicure after Bailey went to bed and I'm watching the season premier of Rookie Blue! I have missed this show!!

Deployment days 27 & 28

Wednesday we ran a few errands in the rain and then got home before it really got bad outside! Jess and I watched tv and were being completely lazy enjoying the stormy weather while Bailey and Eli napped. Bailey slept for 2 1/2 hours! After the kids got up we went to Chili's for dinner with Candace & Declan. When we got back we played outside then went for a walk with our little mob! 4 girls, 5 kids, and 5 dogs! I love my girls!! After Bailey went to bed I went over to Kayla's for a little bit to hang out.

Yesterday (Thursday) Bailey and I went out to the post office to pick up a package for the Hoppe's then came home and Bailey napped. I painted my nails and baked a banana bread! Kayla and I went to ABC to get some orange liqueur for our mimosa punch then tried a new recipe. White cheddar mac 'n' cheese with broccoli, it was pretty good! I played some of the portuguese music Patrick listens to after dinner and Bailey and Aaden were dancing to it, so cute! Kayla and I made a pretty good dent in the punch but couldn't finish it on our own! Candace and Declan came over later and then Jess and Eli got back. After everyone left Jess and I watched tv for a while before we went to bed.

Deployment day 26

I was too tired to do this last night so I'm catching up! I was a busy bee yesterday! I started my day by putting the baby locks on the bathroom cabinets while Bailey was napping then I went outside to try the new edger I bought which led to mowing the yard and watering then I came in and vacuumed the whole house and cleaned the kitchen floor. Next I did laundry and cleaned up the house and finished sewing the purse I was working on! Jess and Andrew brought pizza home for dinner then after the kids went to bed Jess and I went to a movie and Andrew babysat. We saw What to expect when expecting. It felt so weird being out so late!! I'm such a grandma these days lol

Deployment day 25

I was too lazy to do this last night! We really didn't do anything yesterday, Bailey and I went to Target b/c we were completely out of diapers then came home and just hung out being lazy the rest of the day! Andrew grilled burgers for dinner last night! I haven't used the grill since Patrick left so it was fun to have grilled food! After the kids went to bed Jess and I opened a bottle of pink champagne and watched TLC all night! That was it for the day... pretty uneventful! I am enjoying having the Hoppe's here, I definitely sleep better when there other adults in the house! Bailey is enjoying them being here too, she has a built in playmate! She definitely needs a sibling in the future, she loves having someone to play with!

Deployment day 24

Today was a fun day!! Jess, Kayla and I plus the kids went to Maynia on base this morning! It's a fair. We met Ashlee and her kids there. It was fun! Bailey was tired all morning and never took her nap so she just hung out in her stroller for the most part, she wasn't in the mood to play but she wasn't fussy either which was nice! I felt like a horrible mother though, I forgot the sunscreen. :-( It is always in our diaper bag but it got taken out a while ago and I keep forgetting to put it back in. None out of the 4 mom's in our group remembered sunscreen so we couldn't borrow from anyone. We both got some sun. Bailey's first sunburn :-( Luckily it's not bad but she does have a tan line where her shorts were and also a little sun on her face. Poor thing. I kept putting her in shade and we used a light weight blanket for a little while to protect her the best as possible! It's going back in the diaper bag tonight!!! Other than the sunburn it was a fun time with some of my favorite girls! When we got back to the house Bailey played with Eli for a while until they left then I started trying to get her to take a nap but she had too much energy. I don't know where from since she hadn't napped all day but it took a while for her to fall asleep but finally did after 4. Kayla and Candace came over for dinner, I finally made the chicken enchiladas I have been planning to make forever! Yumm! Bailey and Aaden spent some time on the floor with Declan checking him out, it was so cute! It was our first "girls night" with Declan :-)

Deployment day 23

This morning Jess, Andrew, Eli and their puppies got here early. They left a little while later to go look at houses. Bailey and I took a nap while they were gone! We hung around the house being lazy for a few hours then played a little outside with Kayla and kids then went out to see the house they found! We went to Logan's for dinner then came home and got the kids in bed. Now we're just watching tv and relaxing :)

Deployment days 21 & 22

For starters, it feels like way more than 3 weeks since Patrick left! Goodness! I count the days (since I do this blog) not weeks but just looked at the weeks and it totally feels like longer!

Yesterday (day 21) it stormed all day! Lightening, thunder and hard rain! At one point it slowed down so Bailey and I left the house, got out of the neighborhood and saw some bad lightening, turned around and came right back home! We had to leave at 4 to go pick up an edger I found on lys! It was only $30 but he took $25 for it! I am excited to try it out if it will ever quit raining!! Hopefully it works! Our cable box wasn't working so I had called time warner and they showed up right as we were leaving to go to Kayla's for dinner! The guy tried 3 different boxes and then finally got one working! I don't know what the problem was!? As soon as he left we ran across the street for dinner! We ended up outside later on to play when it quit raining and Miss Bailey kept taking off down the street. She would just walk away and wouldn't come back or listen to me. I was getting quite frustrated. She was not listening at all and would get so mad every time I picked her up and carried her back but as soon as she got free she took off again! We had to come inside b/c I got tired of chasing her down! Kayla and Candace came in with us so we could visit for a little while. Candace just got back in town yesterday and we were all excited to see her and Declan! By the time they left it was late, I gave Bailey her bath and got her in bed at 9:40! I was up for a little while but not too much longer then I went to sleep!

Day 22-
This morning Bailey woke up at 7 but I could tell she was still tired so she ate a waffle and banana then went back to sleep. She slept until after 10!  We got up and got ourselves ready and were out of the house around 11, we went to the base to go to the px but stopped at the daycare center on the way in to get a little info about it. I am considering taking Bailey once a week or every other week for a few hours just so I can have a little time to get some things done or just to have a mommy break! They were very nice and while I was waiting for the woman to go and get the paperwork for me I was talking with another woman and started crying just at the thought of leaving Bailey! I felt so silly!! She said Mommies always cry but I still felt stupid especially since I wasn't even leaving her today! haha! Once we left there we went to the px then headed to Target. On the way Bailey fell asleep so I just went home so she could take a nap but she woke up when we got home so we just ate lunch and went back out! We went to the mall to get a couple things for Patrick and some soap from b&bw :) then we went to target, and the post office! Might not sound like a lot but oh my we were exhausted! We came home for about 45 mins to freshen up then we went to meet Ashlee and her kids at Mi Cabana for dinner. We had planned to walk after dinner but it had started raining again so we just came back to our house to play. They left around 8 and I got Bailey in bed pretty quick after that, poor girl was so tired!

I'm going to relax for a little bit then do a little house cleaning, the Hoppe's get back here in the morning and this place is a mess! It's actually not that bad but I do need to do a few things!

Deployment days 19 & 20

Yesterday (Monday/day 19) I honestly don't remember. How sad. It was only yesterday!! I know we stayed home most of the day and then went through bojangles for dinner then to Babies R Us! We got Bailey a little princess chair! After she went to bed, I stayed up making felt flowers for hours! Fun! I haven't been sleeping very well the past few nights, not sure why but last night was no different so I woke up tired!

I remember now.... We got mail fro DADDY!!! Two books with DVD's of him reading them! What great mail!! :-D

Today, Aaden came over for a couple hours while Kayla took Blake to the Dr. We had a good time :) I had one exterminator come by to give me an estimate but it was too much so I decided to go with one that had already given a price on the phone. He came by around 1:30 to spray then Bailey and I went to Wal-mart for groceries and a bunch of other stuff. When we left walmart is was pouring! Bailey's nap schedule was all wack today so she was super grumpy this evening... not cool! I made a roasted chicken with lemons, green beans, and red potatoes. I loved the chicken part but that was it. :-/ Later we walked and played outside. I drove Patrick's car around the block this evening. That was funny! Kayla was laughing at me backing out of the driveway!

Deployment day 18

Today was Mother's Day! We make eggs and biscuits for breakfast and Bailey had a little bit of orange juice (watered down). She loved it! She was pretty wired the rest of the morning so maybe too much sugar! She didn't take her nap until after 12 and slept til close to 2! We went to the park with Kayla and the boys this afternoon then went to Logan's for dinner! We came back to the house and sat out in the back yard for the kids and dogs to play. Bailey was overly tired this evening since she only took the one nap in the middle of the day so we had to come in b/c she was falling all over the place and getting into everything she's not supposed to. We all snuggled up on the couch and started watching time travelers wife. After a little while Aaden decided he was tired and wanted to go home lol so they left. We got Bailey's bath done and went to bed! I'm finishing the movie before I go to bed. I got to talk to Patrick for a little bit this afternoon! Ughhh... when we were outside we had to hose off the patio because Aaden knocked over my drink and the glass broke and when Kayla started the hose we saw a huge spider crawl back up into the siding on my house. I didn't realize it then but it hit me later and I googled to confirm, it was a black widow. I am FREAKING out at the moment. We had the door open a lot as were going in and out, what if it got in!!?? My skin is just crawling. I have been putting off calling the exterminator but I am definitely calling tomorrow and having them come out right away no matter what it costs!! Ewww! Hate this creepy crawly feeling!

Deployment day 17

I got 11 hours of sleep last night!! I went to bed early (for me) and then Bailey slept late! It was amazing!! Bailey didn't seem to be feeling too great today, I am hoping she's not getting sick! We were just around the house most of the day doing laundry and such then around 4 we went to Lowes to see what we could get to stop the bugs from eating my flowers! We ended up getting the spray plus a couple new flowers and pots! I love flowers! I wish I had the space to plant more! We dropped the flowers off at home and went back out to Toys R Us! We walked around in there forever, Bailey was sleepy plus like I said earlier I don't think she was feeling that great so she just sat in the cart all calm while we walked around. I wanted to buy everything! I was having so much fun!! We only bought one thing today though. A pink lawn mower that blows bubbles! It was on sale and I had some store credit from something I had returned so I ended up only paying $5.00! I was pretty excited about that! Haha! Since we spent so much time in Toys R Us it was too late to cook the dinner I had planned so we went through chick-fil-a on the way home. Bailey got her first toy from a kids meal! Well the first one she can actually have! After we ate we went outside and I planted the new flowers while Bailey played. Hershey got tied to the garage tonight instead of being free like usual and she didn't like it but she's getting so brave these days running around playing I got nervous she would run out in the street trying to play and not see a car. She was on a 15 foot leash so she could be everywhere we were. Crazy dog! When Kayla and her boys came out we went on our nightly walk then like last night, we dropped off the dogs and jogged/walked a little longer! I feel like I type the same thing everyday once we get past dinner! Hah! Oh well it's our routine!


Anyway.. I have been up too long already so I need to get some sleep!

Deployment day 16

This morning Bailey woke up at 4, 4:30, 5, 5:30 and then 6 for good. I was not a happy camper! She ate almost two waffles then put her head on my shoulder so I laid her back down and she went to sleep and so did I! I woke up at 9 but she slept until 10:30! I did not know what to do with myself this morning! After we ate and played a little we went outside. I cut the grass while Bailey played in her pack 'n' play. After showering and Bailey napping again we played some and then went to dinner with Kayla and her boys. We were in a burger mood so we went to Andy's! We had a good time. I ran out of wipes today so we ran in food lion after dinner. Bailey and Aaden rode in the police car shopping cart. They had SO MUCH FUN! It was adorable!! Bailey was laughing and kicking! Kayla and I decided next time we need a fun adventure we're just going to go to food lion! Hah! When we got back home we went for a walk then we dropped off the dogs and went for a jog/walk! We were proud of ourselves! lol Neither of us run so we are a perfect match!

Patrick called while I was mowing the grass so we took a break and came in to talk to him. The connection wasn't great so once again, we didn't get to talk for long :-/ Hopefully we'll get a chance to talk soon!

I am exhausted and need sleep! Goodnight!

Haha ok so this post is simply to say I noticed how many times I type "out" when I mean to type "our"! I was reading over my deployment posts last night and noticed it, how horrible! lol

Anyway, thats it!

Deployment day 15

Another lazy day around here! Well kind of.. this morning (at 8:30!) Bailey and I went for a walk and I sprinted every few minutes! That is a big deal for me lol I don't run or jog but I was in the mood this morning and was pretty excited about it! We grocery shopped in the afternoon. While we were in food lion Patrick was on facebook and was messaging me but I never heard my phone. I missed him by 6 minutes when I finally saw it! I was so upset!! I love my Iphone but really hate some things about it, like the fact that I can't change the sound the phone makes when I get an IM on FB!! It is not loud enough so if I'm not holding the phone I don't hear it! :-/ Hopefully he'll be able to get on tomorrow! This is the second day without talking to him. I don't expect to hear from him everyday that would just be silly for a deployment but knowing he was on and trying to get me makes me sad! Anyway, the rest of the afternoon we just played and watched tv. Bailey took a pretty good nap this afternoon. Her morning nap was only 20 mins thanks to some guys that rang the doorbell and made Hershey start barking! I really didn't hear who they said they were but I think they were from a church, they were looking for people who speak spanish so of course I said that wasn't me. Weird!

I made chicken alfredo with broccoli again tonight. We ate early then played outside for a while. Bailey went and got Hershey's leash and was trying to put on her, it was so cute! Then she found puffs on the ground that had fallen out of the stroller and she was feeding them to Hershey. When I said it was time to go in, Hershey took off down the street. I was so mad at her! She always listens so well and I never put a leash on her unless we're walking but she didn't want to go inside, she wanted to go for a walk so I guess she decided to go by herself. She got a little ways down the street then turned around and starting running laps around a few of the yards. I got mad that she wouldn't come to me so I went back home and got her leash, as soon as she saw it she ran back to me all excited thinking we were going to a walk. She got a leash walk right back into the house. Grrr I was mad!!

We walked with Kayla and the kids a little later then sat outside playing until bedtime. I was going to do something after Bailey went to bed but I can't remember what and it's driving me nuts! I started reading the lucky one last night so pretty soon I'm going to go lay down and read since I have no idea what it was I was going to do! I need to stay busier, my brain quits working when I get lazy! I like to be busy!!!

Day 15- This morning Bailey was all purpled out!, We stuck with the purple theme today. Bubbles and playtime outside, Bailey feeding Hersh, and trying to put her on the leash.  Hershey before her stunt. Aaden pushing Bailey in the walker after our walk :)

Deployment day 14

Today was a yucky rainy day but Bailey and I had lots of fun playing inside! We went out to wal-mart to print some pics and then to the post office to mail the last of our Mother's Day packages but that was it! Bailey is so much fun to watch these days, she is learning so many new things so fast! This morning she played with her baby doll for a long time, she would carry her around then kiss and snuggle her, put her in the stroller and take her back out. I took a couple videos of her, the first one was her just running around but the second was her twirling her bunny monkey around saying "weee" like I do to her. Her "weee" sounds more like a high pitched squeal but it's adorable! I'm glad I caught that on video! Before dinner I made lima beans because I was wanting some. Bailey was snacking on them while I was cooking but when dinner was ready she quit eating  them but after dinner I was cleaning up and she kept reaching for the lima beans. We sat on the floor with them watching tv and she was eating them like popcorn! haha Then she carried the bowl around the house eating them. Hershey followed eating the ones that dropped! It was adorable. She has never carried around food before so it was a first! We played in her room for a while before bed and she got really close to say "quack quack"! She as playing with a rubber duck so I kept saying "quack quack" and she was trying really hard! Love this stage she's in, I am enjoying everyday! Well... there are some fussy/clingy days (like yesterday) that I don't love but all and all this is such a fun age!

I bought "the lucky one" book today and I'm going to try to read it. I usually don't read well, I can't stay focused but I'm going to give it a try! I wanted to see the movie but haven't been able to yet so I figured I'd try the book first.

I think this was the first day I didn't hear from Patrick at all. I'm guessing he was just tired or couldn't get a strong enough connection. He was supposed to be buying a new calling card today so he could call! We've only chatted on fb the last few days so it would be nice to hear his voice!

Well I'm going to read .... or watch tv... we'll see!

Deployment day 13

Oh what a day! Nothing crazy just not in the best of moods. Bailey was super clingy for no apparent reason and Hershey was whining all day which is weird so I just felt stressed! It was one of those days where I just wanted a break but didn't get one! As the day went on it got a little better... We went to the post office to mail some things and ran in Target to print some pics but the machine wasn't working so we just came home. After Bailey took a nap we got a pizza for dinner and then we went over to Candace's to hang out for a while then we went for a walk with Kayla and the boys and played outside until 8:30! Bailey was exhausted when we came in so we took a quick bath, dried her hair and she was out! I'm watching Friends now :) My happy show! I think I should go to bed! I am getting tired!

Deployment day 12

Life sure has slowed down for us this week! I like it better busy and crazy, I was a little bored today! We were home all morning, I vacuumed, swept and mopped the whole house then put Bailey down for a nap (before 9am). She slept for two hours and probably would have slept longer but I went into her room to look for something and it woke her up. We went over to Candace's to take her something she needed to borrow and I got to snuggle with little Declan for a few minutes <3 We had lunch and I got my shower then we went to base to shop a little. I had a list of things I was looking for and only found one thing so our trip was a bust! Before we went in Patrick got on fb chat so we sat in the parking lot for a while talking to him! Bailey fell asleep in the car on the way to target so I just came home and let her nap for a little while then we snacked and headed to Target. Once again, I had a list and didn't find anything I wanted :-/ ugh! Once we got back home we did a whole lot of nothing the rest of the evening! We did water the grass and flowers. I wasn't feeling in the mood to cook nor did I have anything to cook so we had grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner! Kayla and her kids are sick and with Candace only being 5 days postpartum she's not out and about either and a little busy with her new little guy so I felt like the one musketeer today lol! Kind of lonely. I'm used to having my girls everyday to keep me entertained!

Bailey's sleeping now and I am watching tv... same 'ol, same 'ol. haha! I did make brownie cupcakes with peanut butter frosting last night at like midnight! Yumm!

Daployment day 11 & Bailey's 13 months!

Today was a super lazy Sunday! I stayed in my PJ's almost all day watching hallmark movies! Bailey took a 3 hour nap today! Wow! I kept checking on her, I couldn't believe she was sleeping so long! We finally got dressed in the late afternoon to run to the store for more waffles (a fave in this house!) and stuff to make dinner. I made chicken alfredo (it says that's not spelled right..??) with broccoli! We had it at Kayla's the other night and I have been wanting more since! We went for a little walk after dinner. Bailey was ready for her bath when we got back but I tried to entertain her a little while, it was still early! She must be growing the way she loves to sleep lately! She was in bed by 7:45 but had a little trouble falling asleep. She always does when she goes to bed before dark. I need to consider black out curtains for her room for the summer since it's just going to be lighter later. We'll see.

Bailey bug is 13 months today!! I actually completely forgot what day it was until my Mom texted me and said "Happy 13 months to Bailey"! I was glad she reminded me! I decided to continue taking monthly pics for another year, maybe more! Even though I take a million pics on a regular basis it's fun to watch her grow each month through these pics! Here is some of what Bailey is up to at 13 months...

She is learning new things at a super fast pace these days! Today was the first time she pointed to her nose when I asked her where it was! She is a pretty good listener for her age I think. Of course she doesn't listen all the time, that would just be nuts! haha! She has really learned what "no no" means and "don't touch", she hears those a lot! She has just this week started to love her baby doll which I love! She carries her everywhere and when she's done playing with her she sets her in the little stroller! So cute! She also really loves her little bus which is out of order right now after being left out in the rain. I am going to have to get a new one for her! She always wants to play with the "big kids" and hates when she can't do everything they can! She is still a great eater! 3 meals plus 2-3 snacks a day! Right now a few of her faves are waffles, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, grilled cheese sandwiches, all kinds of cheese!, fruits (oranges, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, pears), honey nut cheerios, pasta with sauce (alfredo, tomato or in things like tuna casserole). She loves bath time! I just mention it and she runs for the bathroom and stands by the tub! She's saying "uh oh" really well now and "hi", "mama", "dada", "hersh", and shes getting really close to a lot of other words also. She is getting good at copying me. When I change the tone of my voice so does she! On Cinco de mayo I said "Iyiyiyiyi" lol and the rest of the day she walked around saying "I yi yi" in a high voice! It was adorable!! Wish I would have recorded it but it's hard to catch those things sometimes. She loves my neighbor's little boy, Aaden. She get's so excited when she hears his voice! She's trying to snap her fingers but of course can't yet but it's cute that's she trying!

I'm pretty sure I could keep going for a while but I am watching a show, "The client list" on lifetime and I'm getting sucked in and completely distracted! I'll have to finish my 13 month update later! I'm also getting really hungry and craving brownies with peanut butter frosting so I think I may have to make some!

Deployment day 10

Happy Cinco De Mayo! This morning Bailey and I went and mailed Patrick's first care package! Let's see how long it takes him to get it! We played for a while when we got home then she got really tired but wouldn't go to sleep, she was throwing a little fit but then fell asleep and took a good nap! I washed the car and watered my flowers during her nap. We ran out to get a few last min things for dinner this afternoon. Kayla and Ashlee came over for dinner with their kids and we had tacos and margaritas! The kids ran around crazy, they should all be sleeping well tonight! Patrick and Brandon skyped us while the girls were here so we all got to talk to them for a few mins!

Short and sweet today :) I am tired!!

Deployment day 9

Today was no where near as eventful as the past week! Bailey and I just played today and ran a couple errands. The care package boxes arrived so we went shopping for stuff to fill the first box! We also grocery shopped and got gas. I got to talk to Patrick a few times today!! He wasn't very busy so he just kept getting back in line to use the phones :)

We walked with Kayla, the kids and dogs this evening then had tuna casserole for dinner.I'm about to head to bed, I'm sleepy!

Deployment day 8

What a great day! First thing this morning I got my car back!!! Yay!!!!! At last!!! Just that alone was enough to make it a great day but it got better! I met some of our friends at the airport to help them transport their luggage. They are moving here!! They came to the house for a while and let their dogs run around in the yard and unloaded their stuff into my garage then they left to go house hunting! Bailey and I took a two hour nap this afternoon!! I was scared when I woke up and ran to check on her but she was fine and just sleeping! Crazy! We've just been so busy lately I guess we were both worn out! I ended up having to wake her up so we could leave. Kayla and I loaded up the kids and went to get dinner for Candace. There was an 18 wheeler that tipped over at the entrance to out neighborhood so we had to go off roading to get out! People without SUV's weren't able to get in or out! Crazy! It happened around 2pm and didn't get cleared until after 8pm! We had to go in and out that way a few times. Anyway, we got pizza and took it over to the hospital. We visited with Candace and baby Declan for a couple hours then headed home to get our kiddos in bed! Bailey and I got to skype with Patrick for a few mins when we got home! Bailey saw his face and pointed to him and said "dada"! So sweet it made me tear up!

Deployment days 6 & 7

Yesterday (day 6) was our first day on our own without Mom being here since Patrick left. Bailey was in a great mood most of the day! We went grocery shopping in the morning then to lowes later to buy flowers and more weed and feed. When we got home, Bailey napped and I planted flowers! I spoke to the collision center in the afternoon and they said they had ordered a total of 13 bumpers now and all of them were damaged but he said the last two were only scuffed so if I wanted to come look at them I could so of course I did! One of them only had a couple small scuff marks so I said it would be fine, I am so tired of waiting for my car I just want it back!!!! We had spaghetti night with the girls and kids at our house! Candace had wanted to learn how to make mesh wreaths so we made one for her door, it turned out beautiful! I got out my big bouncy ball later for her to bounce on to try to induce labor...  It worked!! After she got home her water broke! I took Bailey over to Kayla's and Candace and I headed to the hospital!

Today (day7) started at the hospital. She was admitted around midnight and was in labor all morning. She delivered at 1pm! I was able to be with her in the delivery room which was such a wonderful experience! I definitely cried when he came out! Once she got settled in I left her, baby Declan and her mom and headed home to see my little bug! She had a fun play day at Kayla's! Bailey and I took a nap but when I woke up I felt way worse than before, this always happens to me when I am really tired. I can't take naps! 23 hours of no sleep then a short hour nap just wasn't enough! It was 5 when we woke up and I remembered I could pick up my car (I was a little too busy earlier in the day to get it!) so I called and they were closing in 15 minutes and said I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I don't know why but that just threw my over the edge and I started balling. I know it was a combination of no sleep or food plus all the emotions of this past week but I couldn't stop crying, it was horrible! I went over to Kayla's balling and she was cooking dinner so we ate over there and I started feeling a lot better! Bailey, Hershey and I went for a walk when we left and then played in the back yard with Kayla and the boys for a while before coming in for snack, bath and bed!

I am going to eat a snack myself and go to bed! What a long couple days but completely worth it!

Deployment day 5

Wonder when that title will start getting really annoying!? If I don't number the days I will forget! Today was a good but sad day, my Mom left today :-( She's been with me this whole first week of deployment.

This morning Bailey woke up at 5am. Why child, why?! She wouldn't go back to sleep so we got up and she ate breakfast. She was yawning and so sleepy so I rocked her until she fell asleep (around 7). She woke up again around 9 and my Mom heard her talking in her room so she got up with her. I heard them up and thought I'd get up in a minute but I fell back asleep and didn't wake up again until 11! I love getting to sleep just wish it was straight through! I have been so exhausted lately I seriously think I could sleep a whole day!

We just played the rest of the morning/early afternoon and took turns getting showers then drove to Wilmington. I had a teething necklace held for Bailey on Friday so we picked that up then we to Panera for an early dinner! We ran to Target after on our way to the airport. We did good this time, no tears! We always cry at the airport.

Bailey and I got some gas and hit the road! When we got home the girls were out walking so we all stood outside for a while talking. When we came in it was snack, bath (with new bath toys from Nana!), then bed for Bailey! I'm watching tv then going to bed :)

Deployment day 4

Today was a lazy day! We did a lot of playing and relaxing :) Bailey was in a snugglie mood when she woke up this morning and sat with me for a a long time just cuddling! I love these days! I did a little work out in the back yard, watering and cleaning up. We went downtown to pick up Bailey's pictures from the photographers studio from her first birthday/Easter shoot and later went to CVS to return a Redbox and get some pictures printed. Bailey loved riding in the little cozy coop shopping cart! She thought that was pretty cool! Later we went on a little walk around the block. Bailey has been going to bed at 8 lately but that has made her wake up earlier (like7) and she's been skipping her afternoon nap so we pushed back bedtime tonight to about 8:40. We were giving her some banana pudding for a bedtime snack and she was laying her head down on her tray she was so tired! It was cute! Hopefully she will resume taking her afternoon naps so she can make it to closer to 9 like normal! It's just been a rough week for us all! Her teething was better today, she didn't seem to be in nearly as bad of pain as the was the rest of the week!! She is cutting 3 teeth on top and one or two on the bottom! She no longer has just one vampire fang on top.

Mom and I watched a movie after Bailey was in bed and no it's bedtime! Patrick messaged me on facebook during the movie and said he would be able to call in a couple hours which will make it midnight so maybe I'll get a little sleep before my wake up call, we'll see!

Deployment day 3

Overall today was a better day! This morning, well noon (hah!), I helped Kayla load up some furniture she sold. By help, I mean I got one of our friends husband's to come do it and I watched and held her baby! After that I mowed the grass for the first time! It was not fun but it looks good now! I need to get an edger and/or a weed eater. I also put down the weed & feed! While I was out there I kept seeing spiders running everywhere so I got the bug spray out and started spraying and then they came out from everywhere!!!! AHHHHH I HATE SPIDERS!!! I will be calling an exterminator on Monday! There are TONS of them all along the outside of my house and I am NOT okay with that!!! Yuck, yuck, yuck!!!

Once I got my shower and got ready, we took Patrick's car out for a drive. I haven't driven a stick shift in 11 years (yikes!) so I needed to re-learn/practice! I did pretty good! We stalled a couple times of course and I never got past 3rd gear but it's a start and I feel good about it so I will be able to at least drive it around the neighborhood once and a while.

Target was next on the list to find a shirt for Mom. Bailey did not want to ride in the cart which has become a regular thing now and started letting out short screams at the top of her lungs. Oh my this is not something I am ready to deal with! She has always done so well in carts and strollers and all of a sudden she is pitching fits and screaming when she doesn't get her way and I am not quite sure how to deal with it! I tell her no and ignore it but I always hate those people who let their children scream in stores and restaurants so I always think about that and end up getting her out or doing whatever I can to make her happier. It is just getting frustrating to take her places but we have to work on this because we can't stay home all the time! Hope this is a phase!!

We had tacos for dinner and now Bailey is sleeping and Mom and I are going to have strawberry shortcake and watch a chick flick! :)

One more thought.... Bailey figured out how to climb up onto her little bus today. I was in the same room with her but not looking directly at her when she did it so I only saw her standing on top with a big 'ol smile on her face! She did it several times throughout the day and just thought it was so fun. It is definitely cute but not safe at all! She finds new ways to scare me everyday now! She banged her head on the table tonight and about gave me a heart attack! Not from standing on the bus, just walking around and lost her balance. I don't let her play with the bus now unless I'm there! Oh the joys of toddlers!

Deployment day 2

Today was a better day emotionally for me. It started at 12 something this morning when Patrick woke me up with a skype call! We got to talk for 45 mins! It was great to see his face and chat about our days :-) I woke up for the second time around 8 and got the day started. Bailey wasn't feeling very good today after having her shots yesterday, poor baby kept pointing to her legs where she got them and whining. We spent the whole morning at home cleaning the house. It was much needed! I called to check on my car today hoping it would be ready but no such luck... they have ordered 8, EIGHT bumpers and every one of them has come in cracked or damaged supposedly and the new one won't be in until next week. I am getting pretty mad about this and not so sure I believe the story. I think Monday if they tell me the new one is cracked I will be visiting them in person to see for myself.

I got to talk to Patrick again this afternoon on skype while we were grocery shopping, thank goodness for my Iphone!!

This evening I went to trade in my rental car for a different one since we had trouble with mine yesterday and they said I needed to trade it in. WHen I called they told me that didn't have anything but SUV's and the insurance company is only paying for smaller cars for me but they said to come on in and they'd work something out. I'm thinking that means they are going to put me in an SUV and comp the difference or maybe just for the weekend or something but no, when I got there they gave me the keys to an old camry. The gas light was on as well at the maint req'd light and it smelled awful. I got gas and was driving home all mad and noticed there weren't any stickers on the front window like all the other rental cars have so I called the woman and asked if it was a car they normally rented out and she sounded very unsure with her "yea" and said that I could come back and she'd switch it out again. When I got there she tried to put me back in the mazda I just returned and then she realized and magically found another car on the lot. Ugh... I am getting more mad by the moment.... Anyway, she was really rude about it and told me to get in the car to see if it was ok for me. RUDE! It is fine and is much newer and actually looks like a rental car. What a frustrating experience and waste of my time!!!! I WANT MY CAR BACK!!!

Anyway, so far this deployment sucks and it's only day 2! It will get better, I know that.

We had a nice dinner, sloppy joes! lol Yum!! Bailey seemed to be feeling better by the end of the day. I had a teething necklace put on hold for her today so I can pick it up in Wilmington when I take my mom to the airport in a few days. Hopefully that will help some! She is just miserable :-( She's only been in bed a little over an hour and has already woken up twice crying. I am ready to be done with teething!!

Daployment day one

As well as adding a photo a day on my facebook I am going to try to post a short blog each night with our day to keep track of everything going on while Patrick is gone. I want to use it to remember things to tell him when we get to talk and so he can read if he has the time :) I'm horrible at blogging on a regular basis but I'm going to try hard!

Day 1- Mom is still here with us this week. We all woke up tired this morning. After our long/exhausting/emotional day yesterday, Bailey was up off and on all night with outburst of screaming so no one in the house got much sleep for the second night in a row. Once we got ourselves up and around we were to base for Bailey's 12 month well check (a few weeks late) and they gate guard would not let us on base in my rental car. I went on base three different times yesterday and did not have one problem so I was quite frustrated to say the least. I had to go into the visitor center to get a pass and since I didn't have my rental agreement with me (I know, big no no but it has been a stressful week and somehow it got brought in the house.) so right there in the office I started crying. The man asked where I lived and I told him and there was just now way I could get home and back before Bailey's appt so I guess he felt bad for me standing there balling like an idiot so he wrote the pass and we went on our way.

Miss Bailey is 22 lbs and 29 1/4 inches long and very healthy! She is cutting a lot of teeth so he said that is the cause of all the fussiness we are experiencing now. She is way ahead in all developmental stages! She had to get three shots. Mom and I both started crying with her when they gave them to her :-( Like I said, it has been a very long/stressful/emotional couple of days with very little sleep and every little thing sets me off! She was fine after a few minutes of course. When we left, my gas light was on so we went straight for the gas station and barely made it with the crazy base traffic! A late lunch was next on our list of things to do and we were all starving! We had chick-fil-A! When we got in the car to leave the gear shifter was stuck and so we couldn't go anywhere. I had to call the rental company and they sent someone out to get us a new car. She actually fixed it by man handling it and so we kept the car we have and continued on with our day. Next was food lion then home!

Mom and Bailey went for a little walk around the block while Hershey and I went on our usual 2 mile walk with the girls! We played outside for a while when we got back then came in and put Bailey boo to bed! Poor thing has had a rough couple days! Mom and I are going to watch a little tv and get to bed early!
