Well, starting this little update below wasn't very helpful when I forgot about it! Gah! I seriously have the worst memory!! I think I just get too many things going on and can't remember to keep up with everything. So much for 19 and 20 months... Here is 21!
Bailey Allison at 21 months-
Clothes: 24 months and 2T which are usually the same size I don't know why they make both! She's in a size 6 shoe (I think that should be included!)
Sleeping: Her sleep pattern got all out of whack when we went to FL over Christmas with us all being so sick and it has taken quite a while to get back to normal but I think we're there. (hopefully!) She's taking one nap a day after lunch around noon but depending on what we're doing sometimes it's more like 1 or 2. As long as she gets a nap these days I'm not as picky! I like a schedule but it doesn't always work. Some days she goes without a nap which I hate because then the last couple hours before bedtime are quite cranky! Bedtime is still at 8. We start bath time at 7:30, lotion, dress, and blow dry her hair then she drinks milk while we snuggle in the lay-z-boy then it's hugs for everyone and off to bed! Lately (again, since we've been back from FL) she's been crying about 30 mins or so after I lay her down wanting more milk, more hugs, etc.. little stinker! She has also been waking up about once a night again and is WIDE AWAKE wanting to talk and play. Patrick and I have started taking turns with these wakings and letting her cry some also. She has got to sleep through the night!
Eating: Still a good eater! Breakfast most days consists of pancakes, cereal or eggs or when Daddy does breakfast chicken nuggets haha! After breakfast she starts asking for treats such as "nacks" (fruit snacks), cheese blocks, "pops" (popsicles), juice, or cookies. If she ate her breakfast I usually let her have one. Snacks vary but she still LOVES cheese so she eats cheese blocks for snacks a lot and pears or bananas, crackers, gold fish. Lunch is usually a sandwich, leftovers, chicken nuggets, mac 'n' cheese, or like today turkey rolls with cheese and chips! She loves today's lunch! Another snack around 3-4 then dinner between 5-6 depending on when Daddy gets home! I try to get veggies in her with dinner and sometimes she eats them and sometime she doesn't. She like everything but she's getting funny about what she wants. I'm already starting the "if you eat all of this, then you can have that" and she's understanding that and it works sometimes!
Talking: Quite a talker now! She is talking in sentences now! There isn't much of anything we say that she can't also say. She can tell us what she wants and we can have conversations with her now. She still talks jibberish too but she just does that to be silly. She sings now too! Pretty well too :)
New words lately: This one's hard because she says so many new things everyday! One of my absolute favorite things she says is "____ where are you?" whatever or whoever she is looking for she says that and says is in the cutest way I just love it!
Teeth: I think there are only a couple in the back still left to come in
Likes:
~Dora! Oh my she has been on a Dora craze! I think it's calming down though now but for a while we couldn't watch anything but Dora and we have so many Dora things in our house it's ridiculous!
~She loves to watch her shows in the morning.. "inny mouse" (Mickey/Minnie mouse), Team umi zoomi ("umi"), bubble guppies ("guppies"), Go, Diego, Go ("e-ego"), max & ruby, and "pirates" (jake and the neverland pirates). We don't watch all of them every morning of course but those are all her faves at the moment! Oh and of course, DORA!
~Outside! She still loves being outside and playing but of course it's winter so we haven't been able to play outside as much. We have had some unusually warm weather lately so it's been fun to get out!
~Baby dolls. She is really loving playing with her dolls. She feeds them, rocks them and sings to them, changes their diapers (pretends), and her water baby takes baths with her!
~Her baby doll stroller. That is probably her favorite toy of the moment! SHe pushes it everywhere and sits in it too. I have to stitch it up from time to time and I know it's going to break one day and I'll have to buy another one! Good thing they're cheap!
~She still loves to be chased, tickled, wrestling, and being scared. This kid is going to love roller coasters! She loves to climb too! She climbs us all the time. Luckily she isn't climbing her crib or furniture!
~Snuggling! She loves to snuggle and we love that! She likes to grab a blankie and snuggle up with us. Right now every night for the last hour/half hour Mommy and Daddy have to both sit on the couch with her and all snuggle together! Daddy always try to move over and she tells him "no, snuggle!". This is sweet time that we cherish.
~Hugs and kisses! She hugs everyone and everything! She gives Mommy and Daddy kisses all the time and her babies! <3 She is such a sweet girl.
I could probably go on but I think I hit the highlights for now!
Dislikes:
~being told No. That is the big one. She says "what?" and holds her hands up like shes asking a question now when we tell her no and starts whining. I have no idea where she got the "what" from? That just started this week.
~When Mommy has something else to do when she wants my attention. SHe throws her self on the floor crying and whining or just hangs on me wanting me to pick her up. Of course if I have nothing to do she will just play fine by herself. Stinker!
I can't think of too many dislikes right now. She tries to play us pretty well now so a lot of time the things she doesn't like isn't because she doesn't like it it's that she doesn't want it/ to do it at that moment.
Health: Great health! She has had a little runny nose a couple times in the past few months usually after playing with friends that were sick but nothing serious. She is weighing 30.4 lbs on my home scale.
Milestones:Nothing major comes to mind.
