I find that I spend so much time worrying if Bailey is getting enough breastmilk or if she should be eating more solids and what are the best things for her to be eating. I read and read and get different information from every "expert" so I always end my searches with the same mind set... do what works for us! I know that I should never compare her to other babies in her age range but it's hard not to when you see friend's babies doing this or that or eating this or that. I think we are doing great but there's always this little thought of am I doing everything right? I know that's all part of being a first time mom and I'm sure every mom felt the same way. Babies don't come with hand books and no two babies are alike so it's almost impossible to get advice because what works for you and your baby may not work for me and my baby but I always like to hear other's stories and ask advice anyway. I have been SO concerned with the fact that she is waking 3 sometimes 4 times at night still and has been sicne 4 months but I think I am finally deciding that it is OK. She will begin to sleep through the night when she is ready. I do think I need to do everything I can to help her along because I believe that the earlier she learns to sleep all night the better but she takes a full feeding every 3-ish hours at night still and she seems to actually be hungry each time and always (well usually) goes right back to sleep so for now I think this is what is best for her. I keep feeling like anyday now I will get her up in the morning and find a tooth! I feel like all the teething symptoms are getting worse and worse, we can't be far! I really think she still has troubles with her tummy though and that is what causes her out of the blue fussiness and night wakes but it's only every other day or two that she seems to have this trouble.
Bailey at 4 days away from 7 months is..
-Nursing every 3 hours day and night
-Eating table food everytime I eat a meal. Today she had banana with my breakfast, rice and a little mac 'n' cheese for lunch and some pasta from our tuna casseroll for dinner. She only eats a little but really enjoys it!
She doesn't grab it with her hands yet, we feed it to her but when we move this weekend we will be getting a high chair and then hopefully it will be easier for her to grab (and play with) her own food!
-Starting to stand by herself while leaning on something to hold her up. She just started this today!
-Wearing size 4 diapers. They are big yes but 3's can't handle her explosions! We started with 4's just a night but it seems silly to buy two sizes so we just switched to 4's all the time now.
-Still loving her jump-e-roo. I am considering getting a walker. Haven't decided yet.
A lot of my blogs are more for me to look back over later, I know everyone isn't interrested in all the little details about what Bailey is doing but it's a fun way to share and also to keep to transfer to her baby book when I get the time! I suppose I should change the title from "my life and more" to "life of a new mom" or something along those lines since that's the main subject! hah! :)
